Llanganuco

Hey everyone!

I did something touristy yesterday. I never do that, ps. But Marisa and I hopped in a taxi and went to see the two glacial lakes formed by the infamous Huascaran and Huandoi. The legend is that there was a warrior named Huasca and a beautiful girl named Huandi. They fell in love but, as in many legends, the parents were not too fond of the relationship. So, they crucified (yes, that's right) Huasca and Huandi so they would never be together. The two sites grew into stone and eventually mountains, but the two continued to cry for their lost love and so the two lakes at Llanganuco are formed by the tears of the star-crossed lovers.

I'll post pictures next time I'm on. So, long story short, it will be a while.
