Chavin Ruins

One of the buildings of the Chavin, they built them at an angle to prevent them from falling down during earthquakes. They also build them with one layer of large stones and two layers of small stones also to aid in stability.

Some of the "Cabezas Claves" of Chavin. These used to be on the ceremonial buildings in Chavin. One theory is that the heads depict a human form changing into an animal form.
