Don’t talk to me….

So, I’ve found out that it takes me a day or two to recuperate from being out of the community. I don’t have a schedule set up of classes to teach or anything so I just kind of bum around and get used to being here again. All the English, all the hot water, all the laughter, all the decompressing, and I don’t even live in an incredibly stressful site. Well, we haven’t had water for the past two to three weeks save maybe a day or two of dribbling. And these past two days the construction crew has taken to large scale bouts of whistling and yelling at me (which hadn’t happened for a month or so, so I don’t know what that was about).
Random complaint: every time it rains and I walk by a large group of guys, they ask me why I’m sad. (Because it’s raining so I’m crying, or something…) Alright, kind of clever, I guess, but the same thing.. every time… often with the same people… um, think of something new to say, please. It’s wasn’t that witty the first time. I started thinking that maybe this is why people continue to laugh or react when I walk by, they are just saying the same not-very-clever thing every time and it gets the same reaction. Not impressed.
Well, that’s really all I’ve been up to these past two days since I got back. A little deprimida and trying to be reclusive. I think after lunch I’ll be productive. Maybe…

Amanda, remember that time when we were walking around Curridabat, and that guy leaned out his window and shouted every English phrase he could think of? "HEY ALL RIGHT OKAY GOOD OKAY!" Best piropo ever. We will swap catcall stories when I get to Teguc.
