Hanging Out in Rancas

This is the bridge that you have to cross to get to the town. I guess it doesn't look that scary unless you're on it. (Also, imagine crossing at night, or in the rain..) Part of crossing is balance beaming it across a log (the only thing holding it up) and the other is balancing on that rail of wood you see on the right side of the bridge. At the end the planks tilt at almost a 45 degree angle. The residents of Rancas scheduled a protest in the San Marcos square about the condition of the bridge but the Mayor heard word of it and went to the town immediately to promise that it would be repaired soon. Soon hasn't come yet...


Making soap dishes and portable "faucets" from plastic soda bottles! Fun!
