President Comes to Chavin

Getting ready for the "Fiestas Patrias" party! Each organization puts together a design like this with colored wood chips.















The president of Peru, Alan Garcia, came to inaugurate the new Chavin Culture Museum in Chavin, Peru. Unfortunately, they didn't let anyone in the town get very close to see him. In fact, this is the closest that you could get to take a picture and this is at full zoom. The helmet on the lower right hand corner of the picture is the police line up keeping out the town's people.















Who could that be? Visiting friends Stephanie and Megan hanging out with me trying to see the president too. Even the gringas can't get through the police line up! :(
